Here I am on May 30th getting ready to share a capsule of the Financial Literacy Month Series I posted on Instagram in April... but hey, better late than never! Extending grace to myself. It has been a busy month, but this is too important to not disseminate further.
Comparison is said to be the thief of joy. It is a common source of depression, disagreement, low self-esteem and jealousy. Gratitude and comparison don't mesh well together, but gratitude is the answer.
Each person/family should hit pause from time to time in order to check in with themselves financially. Even if you don't change a thing in your financial plan, at least you can say that you came to that determination following contemplation.
The first principle of Kwanzaa is umoja, which means unity in Swahili. How fitting is it to think about working together in peace with our family, our neighbors and our nation while were also contemplating ways to boost our Social Wellness?
